Cheap and decent as a stop gap
Price.
Poor air conditioning.
Overall not bad at all. Rent is cheap. Less than 40,000 per year for a good sized studio with own underground parking. Finishes are reasonable enough for the price you are paying. Communal areas clean. Shops and take aways at the bottom of the building. Always taxis there too. Quiet more… for the most part. Only real downside is that the air conditioning is insufficient. You can set it to whatever you want but the temperature won't go down below 24C. Having done some research this is a known problem with these buildings. Would I recommend people stay here? Sure, it's a decent stop gap. I'm not sure on anything beyond staying here a year, and the lack of decent a/c may be a stopper for you, but for me it has served its purpose. Show less

Very spacious apartment-easy access
Spacious rooms, easy exit, great facilities
Nothing
I have lived here for 3 years, 2 years rental and because i loved the place i have actually purchased even a bigger apartment. The place is recommended for many reasons: 1. Rooms are amazingly wide 2. Living room can easily fit sofas, big TV cabinet, and and a big dining table. 3. Kitchen more… can accommodate everything. 4. Bathrooms are really big and comfortable. 5. View is breathtaking, either to DSO or to burg al arab side, burg khalifah is also in your sight angle. 6. Great utilities: swimming pool, gym. 7. Landscape area: all newly done artificial grass with kids play area, lighting.... 8. Maintenance is like every other place in Dubai, not perfect not bad 9. Veeeery easy access from.anywhere and to anywhere in Dubai/Al Ain/ Abu Dhabi. 10. Rent is much cheaper than other place even AC is little but more expensive. 11. Supermarkets /shops/centers/ nurseries/schools/mediclinic centers... all around even in the same towers. 12. Parking is always available. 13. The whole surrounding area is going to be a paradise soon, and work has amazingly improved the place from 2 years back by installing electricity , maintaining and cleaning the roads and so and so. 14. Eventually i could never see a better place in Dubai, and as we say, if u need the best of the best u gotta pay a lot. Show less

Sky courts tower A
View from the balcony
Nothing
Sky court is located strategically in dubai land with easy access of Al ain road emirates road making it so convenient to commute . The landscaping around the property is still in development stage but huge prospect by the time the 2020 expo starts. View from the balcony is more… breathtaking overlooking silicon oasis and the vast open space on the right side with Al ain road in sight. 2 pools ,gym and a playground for kids makes it real ideal place. Not to forget the chubby cheeks nursery right down in the building.my kid is almost ready to go to nursery and having a nursery in the building itself is a blessing. Overall would say a great for money and investment. Show less

Amazing Community to live & raise family
No Traffic, Ample Parking, High Quality Finishing & Durable Product, Good Maintenance, Amazing Kitchen Layout, Huge Children Playground, Safe Community, Romantic Place to live, Ideal for newly married Couple
Cooling Charges, Maintenance Charges that an owner has to pay, Abandoned Cars in Visitor Place, Access to the Dubai / Alain Road, No Direct Access to DSO, Public Transport Bus Availability,
Pros - Built by National Bonds (Government Entity), therefore highest quality was kept in mind when making this huge complex - Next to "The Villa" Community, therefore the landscape surrounding it down the line will get a significant boost as a result and investment appraisal for owners. - After the recent 4 months more… Landscaping of Podium 3 Floor (Common Area), this community beats many good communities in JLT & Marina, The Quality of the building is very well comparable to JLT Towers. Expected 100% completion Dec 2015. - The Maintenance of the building until 2014 was not good, however the owner association and management took corrective measures to ensure owner's & tenant investment are secured. Although Towers F,C,D requires a bit of maintenance when it comes to paint Job in common Areas @ P3 Level. But New maintenance company is really good. - Parking Space is ample, 6 towers with 2,800 apartment has combined 3 parking levels for more and the area inside is very wide for easy car manoeuvrability, similar to JLT. Visitors Parking - Laundry, 2 Super Markets, Restaurants, Chubby Cheeks in Tower C, Recreation Center, Tandoor, Masala Chai, Stationary Shop, Barber Shop, Beauty Saloon, Seesha Place and Burj Khaleefa View from Tower D & A - Each Apartment Type varies in size from Smallest, Medium to Largest therefore, space is utilized very well. - One of the largest wash-rooms that can be found in Dubai with High quality finishing material and Indian Green Cultured Marble being used, which does not get scratched or fades easily and have ever lasting shine if taken well care of. - All Bed rooms have built in Durable and High Quality Closets with ample space - The Place is so good that a lot of Locals prefer to live here to apart from a lot of European foreigners. - Best Towers are Tower A,B,D,E - Premium Quality Locks & Door Handles used - Security is always on the Petrol - High Speed 5 Huge Lifts in each tower, with 1 being Service lift and negligible down-time in a year. - Ample Sun Light, therefore apartments are not dark and are very well lit up depending on the side of the building you manage to take. - Good Cleaning Staff, Common Areas, Lifts are sparkling clean, Kharafi Maintenance ever since taken over in 2015 are doing a good job keeping the place tidy and sparkling - Amazing Huge Children Play Area divided in two space (for toddlers & elder Kids) - 3 Swimming Pools, (2 x Adult, 1 x Kids) with Life Guard all the time - One of the amazing connected Podium areas with Green Belts, Lights. Best Place to Walk in the evening and morning. more than 400 meter area to enjoy the walk - Best Open Kitchen Layout next to Living Hall, very good for moms to monitor their toddlers & kids in the living hall. Also very comfortable to watch TV while you work in kitchen - Built-in Large Sanyo Stove (5 Points) - Kitchen has ample cabinets & drawers Cons - Towers E & Tower C do not enjoy a good view compared to other 3 towers - In Winter Washroom Doors Wood slightly bulges - Fire Alarms Go off randomly often which is nuisance at times - Since the A/C is from a district water based cooling, the cooling charges charged are not fair (172, 272, 372)AED fixed monthly fee for Studio, 1BHK, 2BHK. Usage on Top. Therefore in Summers the cooling charges can soar upto wooping 1,200 AED for 2 BHK and 700-800 for 1BHK. "Dewa is seperate :(" - One of the highest maintenance charges in Dxb 13 AED / sqft which is not justified, as building management fails to collect the charges from previous owners and existing owners have to suffer because of this.Show less

Below Average
Peace and lack of traffic.
Everything except two good things.
The Skycourt Towers fail to deliver what they promise. The community area is one thing we moved here for but the kids are prohibited from playing any game that involves a ball. Its been long since any plants/grass here dried up. Swimming pool is not maintained in summers. The lifts more… are major trouble in the morning rush hours as three lifts are in one end and the other two in another end; you have to have 5-10 mins buffer time to reach on G/B. Kitchens in all apartments are near the main door resulting the corridor smelling all the time. Gyms were not maintained until a few months back but now they are on the track. Traffic is OK, exits are not blocked. The towers offer peace but at the cost of no good restaurant in vicinity, also home delivery options are painfully limited.Show less

Quiet own place
Lot of driving
This is a nice tower with good flats and nice people, but it is far from everything. Without car you can't go anywhere, public transport is missing. It is quiet and almost no traffic any time. It is still good price but gets more expensive every year.

Good value for money, but forget having a life if you dont drive!
Spaciousness of the house, peace and quiet and hardly any traffic on the roads.
Too far from the city, deserted, hardly any good restaurants or malls around and NO PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION!
I stay in a 1 BHK. The space is great and the value for money is good. But the maintenance is to be handled completely by you. They don't provide anything. The pool is fine, but almost always dirty and unkempt. The parking lot is huge, so no worries about more… that. The area is very deserted, so if you don't own a car or drive one, life's going to be really hard and boring. On the good side, the noise pollution is almost zero. Also, it is centrally located from almost all of the major locations in Dubai like Karama, SZR, Garhoud, Barsha/Jumeirah (New Dubai). It takes about 20-25 mins by car to reach SZR. Unfortunately, there is no public transportation other than cabs, so time is not an issue but be prepared to have lighter pockets!Show less

Lots of work need to be done
The size of the apartment
The regulations which is not in the correct place
The building is good but the type of residence is varies between high quality and very low quality (means, don't care about the landscape, or cleanlinesses or the feelings of their neighbour) they live in their own universe. Also, there should be more lighting on the streets on this area, at more… night it is a desert.Show less

Far from city
Skycourts offer very family friendly ambiance. Only the charges which they charge separate for a/c is bit over the top. There is childrens play area, kids and adults pool and separate gym in every building. Even though bit far from the normal hustle bustle its a nice pad to own.

Away from the maddening traffic and rush.
Wish it was connected via dubai Metro.
An evolving community. Love the fact that it is away from the noise and traffic and yet easily accessible from communities in Karama and Bur Dubai. Also, it is almost self sufficient, because there are laundries, restaurants, saloons, kindergarten, clinic, pharmacy, vet services, supermarkets in and around the towers. It is more… difficult to get cabs in some other areas of Dubai but not at Skycourt; since at any given time there are at least 5-6 taxis waiting outside. What is missing and really required for such a big and growing neighbourhood is a community park or recreation area.Show less

Skycourts Maintenance issue
Location of the Skycourts
Maintenance of the Skycourts
I would like to express an a huge concern about the management company who is responsible to maintained the Skycourts development. Skycourts is new development, only 4 years old, and the maintenance of landscapes, swimming pools, gyms, dirtiness around the development, cleaning the windows/facades, is below any acceptance level. more… We as owners are suffering , and really do not know what to do. We are paying the high maintenance fees, but the development is looking more and more seriously bad, which is dropping the values of our apartments at the market. Please HELP US to create the nice and clean environment for Skycourts. Show less

Very high A/C cost, inefficient Owner
Nice big windows
Location, high charges for A/C, bad maintained
Skycourts has a surprise for everyone after the first bill for chiller comes in due to the super high charges for Air Condition. Supplier is super expensive with their monthly fixed fee that makes a couple of thousand AED per year on top of the rent even if you keep more… A/C off. No maintenance of A/C offered in return, goes out of the tenant's pocket for cleaning the filters for example. Owner's Association is just there with a name but they do not care about complaints about their suppliers and the building is slowly falling apart. Pool has not been cleaned for several months at all for example and lifts are contentiously out of orderShow less

Peaceful atmosphere, and connects to different routes without getting into traffics.
The chiller fee is sometimes super crazy amount just for the Airconditioning
This is my 4th year and i'm pretty happy with the location and the peace of mind from the traffics and signals. It's a very quiet place and have enough facility of what an apartment should have and the rent what I'm paying is also quite reasonable compared to the more… current market rate. Show less

Nice but hard to get anywhere without car
Everything you need is here: Gym, pool, supermarket, pharmacy, hairdresser, restaurants, ...
No public transportation at all. Next bus stop to go to the city is in Silicon Oasis (10min with Taxi). Otherwise 20min with the Taxi to the city for approx. 45AED.
The studio I live in is quite a decent size. Interior is a bit outdated, however it serves the purpose. According maintenance there have been no issues so far. Security is present 24hrs and mostly very friendly. Noise level is almost zero, as there is nothing around. All in all more… it is a nice place to live for a limited period of time. However it is hard to get to the city without an own car, as there is no public transportation and sometimes not even a Taxi around.Show less

Cooling charges
Apartment size
Cooling charges
Skycourts is a charming and spacious apartment complex, which despite its run-down condition, is being gradually repaired. Though the crippling fact of living here is the cost of cooling. A standard monthly charge of 386aed a month before switching the cooling on, and a further monthly consumption charge which during the more… summer months can reach almost 1200 to 1400aed a month is simply dreadful and undisclosed fully when signing a lease. Furthermore, they have a rule whereby when the monthly bill reaches 2,000aed they will disconnect and charge a further 1,000aed for reconnection whilst still charging the monthly service charge for nothing. In three years of occupancy they have visited once to service the AC and only after I requested. It brings an overall rental price from 75,000aed for a 2bed apartment to over 90,000aed once you include cooling. Think twice before renting at Skycourts as other options are becoming cheaper and more reasonable and also including the cooling charges. Tenants of Skycourts have spent the last three years protesting against these charges, but this has continued to fall on to deaf ears, perhaps this is why Skycourts still have only an approximate 65% occupancy in the 2,300 apartment complex.Show less

Skycourt Towers - Unfortunate
No traffic
Maintenance, AC utilities, transportation
The buildings are very nice. Obviously not as Luxurious as other places in Dubai but for a building practically in the middle of nowhere they stand out. In 2011 it was clean, grass in the garden, and sunbeds by the pool. Now its more or less all gone. AC service more… charges way too much for usage and even if you are not in the country or havent used your ac you still have to pay a minimum fee, after summer holidays I came back to a huge bill. I moved here as a student as its close to Academic City but the amount I pay for ac yearly I could have easily put it on the rent and moved somewhere else. More supermarkets and restaurants opening in the area but not restaurants that you would be familiar with. Also no bus routes so you can only get a taxi if you need to go somewhere and the closest place being Academic City is already 30Dhs so imagine wanting to go to JLT.Show less

District Cooling
District cooling bills/Dirty neighbors/Broken down gym facilities/Dirty area surrounding the buildings
I chose to rent in this location away from the city because it was more affordable but I did not factor in the chiller charges that are forced on all residents. I do not only get a DEWA bill every month, I also get a bill from a company called more… Alpha Utilities Management who are responsible for the district cooling in all the Skycourts towers. The average Alpha cooling bill per month for my 2 bedroom apartment is AED 1,000 which adds up to an extra AED 12,000 on top of my annual rent. So if you want to invest or rent here, just keep that in mind, because I regret it and would have happily paid that extra AED 12,000 as rent and stayed closer to the city. Also the area around the building is extremely dirty with leftovers garbage since it was a construction site.Show less

Suits me fine
The space and the price
The gym
It's not bells and whistles but for a budget area/building, I think it is not bad. I have seen worse. The gym and security leaves quite a bit to be desired, but I have lived here for the past 2+ years and have had no major problems with the flat more… or with it's upkeep. The air-conditioning bills seem a bit erratic but then I find it tough to keep up with the regulations or understand what I should compare it to. It's a bit far off the beaten track so you do need your own transport but the flat is spacious and well laid out and makes good use of space. The fittings are not wow but they've lasted me well and haven't fallen off. Show less

Justified
Atmosphere
NO ATM Machine!
If you are stumped on where to look between Sharjah to International City to Discovery Gardens. I suggest to take a look at apartments in Skycourts. They are not over priced, their services are good for the price we pay. Necessary attractions like a basic GYM, swimming pool and 1 more… parking per apartment with the option of purchasing more. One thing I wish someone told me earlier is about the ALPHA Facilities Management which handles the district cooling for Skycourts, for people who don't follow; You pay ALPHA Facilities Management for making your Central A/C work as opposed to DEWA which you only pay electricity bills to. The DEWA & ALPHA deposits are AED 2000 each. For Alpha, the minimum to pay a month is AED 130/- whether you've used your A/C or not, and as per what people tell me, the airconditioning bill during the summer maxes up to not more than AED 400/- which is pretty standard. Security are extremely helpful and professional as well as ALPHA Facilities Management who are based in Tower A of Skycourts. If you are one who does not cook, or just having a lazy day, there are restaurants downstairs and a supermarket which are well facilitated. As far as kids are concerned for families, I don't think you have to worry at all for the safety of your children when they have to go outside and play, because Skycourts has an enormous outdoor play area at level P3 within the community which are guarded by high walls so as to keep them from outside exposure with a mini playground. They also have a nursery set up in Skycourts for Daycare. There are occasional times when somebody else parks on your spot which you cannot even be angry about because it is pointless. I only say pointless because there is so much parking space that you'd rather be picking a parking slot than raging into thin air. The layouts at Skycourts are absolutely comfortable with regards to the apartment and yes they have in-built wardrobes. Now if you're thinking "it is too far away", it takes 30 minutes with morning traffic (on Umm Suqeim Road exiting Arabian Ranches caused by a traffic light) to Dubai Internet City where I work and it takes 15 minutes for me to get to Dubai when I have to meet my friends on the weekend. Which is actually better than coming from Deira to Internet City in the morning that takes an hour. As far as distance, it is not that bad, besides distance increases favor on consumption of Petrol. Directly connected to E611(Current Emirates Road), sub connected to E311 (Current Mohammed Bin Zayed Road) and directly connected to E66 (Dubai Al Ain Road); which means you really wouldnt need Sh. Zayed Road E11. All and all I am happy with my decision to move to Skycourts and think its a pleasing and comfortable atmosphere. Show less

I work in Sharjah, so this is quite good location for me to stay. What I love about this place is you will get all the basic necessary stuffs near by. Not worth it
Close to highway for easy access into inside dubai
Very far away from everything
I have lived here for 2 years now, and I'm not even a little satisfied with what i'm living with. The finishing is bad, no maintenance, poor security, dried gardens and trees, and every time you encounter a problem, security would come and see it but no one would do more… anything about it. The central air conditioning costs a fortune even if you DON'T use it you still have to pay around 340 - 360 dirhams a month, and it carries a horrible smell. The views all around are bad, absolutely no public transportation other than a taxi at times, gym is nearly destroyed, pools are very dirty and it is very noisy.Show less

Economic place with good facilities
No noise pollution
No public transport
I feel this place is good. We go for walking in the morning and evening. Swimming pool is nice. And one lifeguard is available. Thomsun supermarket is available. Its costly but everything is available. Now al madina super market is opening shortly. All kinds of restaurant available. more… Nursery is also there, but expensive. Only drawback is no public transport. Only taxi's available. RTA should think about bus facility.Show less

Maintenance is bad, and the smell of cooking food
The location is good, there is no traffic. But the area is dusty, and no cleaning for the streets. Plus the maintenance is bad in the towers.

A humble abode
It a quite place, with good amenities. No traffic.
No common means of transportation except for taxi and quite far from the metropolis.
Staying in the Deira is like living in a comfort zone, malls are left and right, supermarket and fast food chains are everywhere, and most of my friends are just a few block away. That's why I was very reluctant to shift to a new place especially somewhere 28 kilometers more… far from the metropolis. But I had no choice, my loving husband opted to stay in Dubailand, (which is indeed a far way land for me as I was so comfortable living in a hype environment), and it served as our first ever apartment as a married couple. However, the very minute I stepped in the house, I immediately fell in love with the place. I love the spacious rooms, kitchen and even the bathrooms. From the balcony, it gives you the chance to relax while exploring the scenic view of the iconic buildings and nearby communities. The 2 swimming pools, kid's playground and 2 level gymnasium in each of the 6 towers are great amenities to enjoy. Everyone who pays a visit to our flat always leaves with a smile for a time was spent not less worthwhile. Not to mention that all of our guests have nothing but good words to say about our chosen place. And till this day, I've never enjoyed making our house a special home, indeed it is a humble abode to love and adore! Yes, it may be quite a distant from the city but it's a haven to start a family. Amazing place!
View, layout, access to everything you need
Air conditioning bills
We looked at a lot of apartments when we planned on buying our first home, and we fell in love with this apartment at the first sight! The view is to die for, it's. About 15 minutes drive from the city but we can see burj Khalifa's fireworks without getting more… struck in the traffic ;). It has a very intelligent layout, the space is used very creatively. The living room is completely separate from the bedrooms, giving you privacy. The bathrooms are spacious and very we'll built. There is a laundry, medic enter, pharmacy, supermarket, few grocery stores, restaurants ranging from Lebanese to Italian, basically everything you may need. The only major issue is the air conditioning, it's not included under dewa and is quite expensive. Show less

My views
The view and the balcony, plus the huge bathrooms and spacious hall
Crossing the road
The apartment is lovely and has a beautiful view with a huge balcony which I love the most. Everything in the building is really good except the rent. It's so unfair with the owners. Tenants who have been living here are enjoying the best rents, but the renewals have more… increased and new rents have hiked by 100%. How can anyone cope like this? We have no choice but to give in.....Also, getting across to the bus stop is another nightmare for someone who doesn't have a vehicle. This means, whoever lives here, have to have a vehicle. Or else, pray a prayer of survival before you cross the high way. Everything else is fine other than the rent and crossing the road. Value for money is not there comparing to the rents last year. Happy Studio
No traffics and peaceful area
Fire alarms setting off at the middle of the night
My husband and I started living here in Skycourts as the one of the first few occupants and leaser of my current studio. I have seen a very big change in this area, from being a secluded place now complete with nearby shops and restaurants. Now, Skycourts I might say more… is one of those area that are preferred by many to settle in due to its less hassle on traffics, and away from the buzzing noise of the downtown area where you can have a peaceful evening with your family.Show less

Our Place
AC Maintenance
Not accessible to Public Transportation
Dubailand is now booming and more residential construction emerging. I would say that our neighborhood is quite okay and suitable for family, security and cleaning maintenance are carefully checked time to time. There are leisure time for kids on the play area and swimming pool, there are nearby restaurants and more… coffee shops too, and easy access to the supermarket.Show less

Love Dubai
Access, Parking, Locality, Transportation, Facilities , view, Size
Maintenance and unreasonable Chiller Charges
I am living in this community since the last 3 years. I love to live here as it has excellent access and is quiet a peaceful place with almost all the facilities available in locality. There are few things needs to improved otherwise I would call it the best every more… possible community in Dubai. Show less

The view
Maintenance
I live in a 2 bedroom hall apartment without balcony. The view is really distinguished with large windows. It is really peaceful and neighbors with good background. The percentage of bachelors staying in the society is very low, so its mostly families. The society has 2 large swimming pools and more… it is cleaned everyday thoroughly, the garden is moderate because sometimes due to high wind, people are not able to visit the garden properly. Maintenance is fine, cleaning progress is perfect, cleaners clean the corridors, gym and the garden daily. DEWA charges are fine but the air conditioner charges are bit high. Show less
