Azizi Victoria is a 300 hectare (750 acre) project being developed by Azizi Developments in Mohammed Bin Rashid City District Seven at an estimated cost of Dhs25bn.
Said to have a ‘British feel’, the masterplan includes residential, commercial and retail elements contained in 105 mid-rise and high-rise buildings. There will be a total of 30,000 apartments.
The mixed-use buildings will be nine, 16 or 31 storeys high and will house studios and one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom apartments. There will also be a retail district and two hotels.
The development will include community facilities such as schools, shops, restaurants and outdoor recreation spaces.
Phase One of the four-phase project was expected to be completed in May 2019 and Phase Two in July 2019.
Azizi Victoria is twice the size of the Azizi Riviera canal development in Meydan One. While Azizi Riviera draws inspiration from the French Riviera, Azizi Victoria will have a distinctly British feel.
In March 2019 Azizi Developments confirmed plans to appoint a new contractor to take over its Victoria project in order to fast-track the development process. The new contractor is expected to be on board by summer 2019.
Azizi had awarded a Dh1.5 billion contract in late 2017 to two firms to build 32 buildings in Phase 1 of Victoria. The two contractors chosen at the time were Green Modelling Contracting and Modern Civil International Contracting Co.
