Zabeel Park Overview
Located at the Creek end of Sheikh Zayed Road, Zabeel Park is a huge, beautifully landscaped park divided into sections that are connected by pedestrian bridges. Popular with families and fitness fans, Zabeel provides plenty of shaded areas for parents with small children. There is also a mini train that takes visitors on a park tour.
The newest attraction in the park is the giant Dubai Frame viewing platform, where you can look towards the 'New Dubai' in one direction, and the Old City in the other.
Facilities in the park include a children's adventure playground, covered barbecue areas, a mini cricket pitch, mini golf, a skateboard park, a technology theme park, a boating lake, bicycle rental, an amphitheatre, children's games areas, restaurants and cafeterias, jogging tracks, toilets and changing cabins, 'smart palm' which provides free wifi and mobile charging points, prayer rooms and free car parking.
The park is open from 8am to 11pm from Sunday to Wednesday, and from 8am to 11pm on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and official holidays. During Ramadan it is open from 11am until 11pm.
Entry is Dh5 per person, and free for people with special needs and children under two years.
Dubai Garden Glow is a seasonal attraction that comes to Zabeel Park during the winter months, from October until April. Each year the format is different. The 2016-17 show included a park inspired by the underwater world and a dinosaur section with 100 animatronic beasts.
Spread across 24 hectares of Zabeel Park were Led-lit creative installations depicting underwater scenes, and displays inspired by the animal kingdom and galaxy.
Ticket cost Dh60 a person with children under three and people with special needs free of charge.
