The buildings in Trade Centre 1 are characterised by their use of an external car park buildings, which are situated roughly 30 metres behind the towers. A minority of the towers have a bridge that connects the buildings together, often and the car park rooftop level.
External car park buildings come with both advantages and disadvantages. Benefits include more internal space, easier vehicle access, lower construction costs, design flexibility, improved aesthetics, and isolated car emissions. They can also potentially boost a property's resale value. However, they require more land, increasing costs, and necessitate separate security and maintenance. For residents and workers, these structures mean longer walks to the main building and exposure to weather conditions.
Most of the residential and hotel towers utilise the rooftops of their car park buildings for amenities such as swimming pools and sports facilities.
