The Beach is an outdoor shopping and leisure precinct in Dubai Marina adjacent to Jumeirah Beach Residence. It features 70 new outlets surrounded by walkways, shops, restaurants and a wide wide variety of trees, plants and water features. It runs from the Hilton Beach Hotel to the Sheraton Beach Resort covering an area of over 300,000 square feet.
Many events are hosted here throughout the year including exhibitions, retail promotions and the annual Dubai Art Season. Fantastic fireworks displays can be seen over the bay on many religious festivals.
The Beach opened in February 2014 and is one of the first dedicated outdoor retail and leisure projects undertaken in the region. It has been a huge success and the place is constantly abuzz with locals, residents and tourists alike.
At the north end next to the Hilton you can find the flagship Real Cinema with 6 indoor screens and as well as the region's largest open-air beach cinema screen. Interactive LED information screens are scattered around the pathways, many of which contain cameras which visitors can use to take pictures of themselves.
There are many sea-side activities on offer including a water park out at sea with slides, trampolines, jumping cushions and climbing walls. For younger children there is Splash Pad, a water park and play area for toddlers with fountains where children will be looked after for an hourly fee.
Sun loungers, beanbag chairs and cabanas can all be rented out for the day and various beach sports and activities are on offer including volleyball, beach tennis and a trampoline bungee for kids. There's an outdoor gym with CrossFit apparatus, rope climb, kettle bells and a rowing machine. You can even sign up for morning yoga sessions on the grass by the beach.
At the south end by the Sheraton Hotel you can find an outdoor market with locally sourced produce, food & drink, handmade crafts and clothing.
