Shorooq Apartment
Very close to the airport.
The noise from the planes.
I've been living here for two years, in a one bedroom. The community is peaceful, neighbors tend to keep to themselves. Community center with a supermarket, fitness studio, laundry etc. has been opened, so that makes life very easy. The traffic can be very bad at peak more… hour, but if you leave a little early and come back late, you can avoid some of it. Community is mostly clean and the maintenance team are quite responsive - they are mostly not able to fix the problem, but they do come and try. The only two things that bother me; I still can't get used to is the noise from the planes. Being on the third floor means I hear them with my windows closed. Parking can be difficult to find, especially if you come home back late at night. People end up parking on the grass. Other than that, very nice community to live in.Show less

Shorooq Mirdif - General Review
Straight to the point apartment layout and away from busy city life
Morning & evening traffic in and out of Mirdif
I've been a resident at Shorooq Mirdif for 5 years now and I must admit that it's still the best value for money across Dubai. When I first moved in, the project was still at its very early stages and it kept getting better with the weeks passing. It was all more… perfect until around 1.5 years where the maintenance team is not as responsive as before and recently reached a level where they are not even attending these cases at all. They used to be there immediately and fix any issues on spot (some may think that its normal as the compound got full by then - but its not the case as probably the compound was full within a year and things were much better for around 3 years). Management kept changing from Salwan to Taaziz to MASAT now; I do understand that it's all under the same umbrella of Dubai Properties but apparently things aren't being dealt with at the same level within these community managements. A lot of people criticize the compound because of aircraft's noise but it's not a deal breaker, at least for me, you'll get used to it. Actually, if you do not have your windows open, you won't even hear it. Regardless, after roaming around with a close of friend of mine looking for an apartment as he's just moved to Dubai, I still do appreciate my apartment. Value for money wise, I haven't seen anything close to the size, finishing and layout of the apartment (as well as the balcony!). We've went around JLT, Marina, Business Bay and Downtown areas and his only reaction was "I wish Mirdif is closer". Here comes a drawback which wasn't really present 5 years ago, which is the traffic in and out of Mirdif as an area and not Shorooq as a compound. Probably not 'flat review' related but a point to be highlighted. Last thing to mention is the lack of a community center which MASAT are infact building now to include gym, swimming pool, tennis courts and jogging track as well as retail/F&B. Something that should've been there for a long time but better late than never I guess. This would make the compound even more valuable for money taking into consideration the new prices (which luckily i'm not paying.. YET). All in all, it's an apartment that I never felt like going out from and a compound which always got a warm and positive vibe. Once community center is open, it will be create chances for residents to actually do some community building relations. With all that said, i'll give it a total of 4 stars.Show less

Shorooq flats
Near to shopping mall and airport
Noise of passing planes especially on landings
Shorooq compound in Mirdif is one I can consider as one of the safest community to live in. However, it is frustrating that this compound does not have any recreation facility at all like: swimming pool, gym, basketball or tennis court which I believe is essential in each community. There more… is no designated parking space for each tenant. I believe each tenant have the right to have at least one own parking space. Security system is very lenient. Most of the security personnel does not even bother to ask identification card upon entry on non-residence vehicle which puts the residence feel unsafe.Show less

Sharooq Review!
Family community with malls n schools
Plane noise
It's an overall good place with lots and lots of schools and nearby mall n restaurants. The only problem is plane noise which is very obvious as soon as you enter Mirdiff as the runaway is just above. But when home you won't feel anything once windows are shut. So more… yeah nice experience over all. Show less

Spread the Shorooqiness!!
Location and Parking
Airport Landing Path
Shorooq is a lovely Gated community. Its placed perfectly away from the buzz of the city but also just in reach of it that makes it an ideal location. There is never a traffic problem around here that makes it all the more better. The only problem i've faced so far more… is when i moved in to shorooq. You will know exactly when and where a flight is in Dubai. From afar, its beautiful to see those HUGE A380's coming down, but later in the night, during rush hour, we've got planes landing every 3-4 minutes for hours! Show less

A Good Compromize
The multicultural locality, parking, security, peaceful, neat & best maintenance
No public transport nearby
The place Shorouq community where we live in a 2 bedroom apartment with family is a balance between many things people look for in Dubai. As a plus, we have many things reflecting in above survey and few seriously important things missing. But when we compare it with other places more… in therms of pricing and amenities, we always find it better to stick with this place. After staying 4+ yrs, we started loving this place and since they are building a community center equipped with supermarket, some retail shops, coffee shop, Gym, swimming pool etc. Once the construction is completed (due in next few months), the place will be awesome to live if they are not going to increase the rent again. Great place to live !
The community
Not applicable !
Okay homies. Buckle down for the real deal. Great place to live! if you're looking to live in a truly family orientaed location in Dubai- this is it. Hits it on the nose as far as 'important factors' for renters. Plus points for: -Competitive pricing -Gated community -Covered AND open parking -Understanding and amenable property more… management -Quick response maintenance for general grounds & Villa level requests Love living here and recommend as a top choice for any asking renter. I have lived in Mirdif for more than 6 years, and I couldn't imagine living anywhere else. I have always felt safe and at home.Show less

Mirdif Shorooq
The community
The airplane noise
I have lived in Shorouq Mirdif since September, and I absolutely LOVE this property. It is well maintained and anytime that I have a problem, I just call in the Resident Services Office and place a service request. My issue is usually resolved within 24 hours of placing the ticket. more… My service tech is always friendly and goes the extra mile to make sure that my place is in well working order. The staff in the Resident Services Office are always friendly and helpful, especially the security team. The property is nestled in a quaint suburban community. The apartments are very spacious! If your looking for a place to call home, I recommend Shorouq!Show less

Great community
Well landscaped areas with kids play arena
Need to go out of the compound for your purchase needs!
As an architect myself, I am entirely smitten by the ambience of this community. Most importantly commuting is not a problem to anywhere in UAE with immediate access to E311 and Al Khail road. With four different malls surrounding you, don't call to step out more than a few miles for all more… needs. Added kids play arena and upcoming community centre with swimming pool is a real bonus. Wont think of shifting out as long as I am in Dubai!Show less

My Mirdif-Dubai Flat Review
Clean Environment, Area, Security, Space, Ambiance
None
If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet, secure and clean environment, choose Mirdiff Shorooq. I am staying there with my sister for 3 years and we never encountered any problem. Our parents from Philippines always visit us once a year and they are very comfortable staying at home. It more… is spacious and very peaceful. Maybe if they will put a gym / pool in the community, then it will be perfect!!!!! Show less

Shorooq dilemma
The garden
Traffic
Living in Shorooq is all good except in the morning during school terms when it is like a war zone! Lines stretching to the inside roads and people behaving like rations are being handed out and they are about to run out! 5 years on still no pool and only more… an empty promise of a club house and swimming pool which considering how the residence behave during the morning rush hold no promise of peaceful week ends! Peaceful & Quality Living
Greenery of the community.
Noisy neighbours if you are unlucky!! Housing wise, the finishing of some of the fittings.
The community is peaceful with scenic beauty surrounded with greenery all around. The compact structure of the housing authority makes it apt for quality residential living ensuring a luxurious lifestyle. From the architectural point of view, few things (fittings and finishing) might let you down only if you are detail more… oriented as a person; otherwise everything seems just fine !Show less

great place but lacks some necessities
Community, proximity to city centre and uptown mirdif mall
Layout, can
The community is great! it gives you a sense of belonging. we lived here for almost 3 years and loved it! The terrace was huge, we had many bbq parties during the winter times. People were very nice and friendly. there were issues with landscaping and there was no gym more… and swimming pool. but fitness first is nearby and the community is very walking friendly except for wild stray cats. the layout of the apartments isnt very good, some of the apartments we saw when we were moving in had a pillar right in the middle of living room. luckily ours didnt! the space is not very creatively utilized. Nonetheless we fondly remember our time in shorouq Show less

Location - close to Uptown, MCC, Arabian Centre and Festival City. Easy to access Downtown Old Dubai areas. Nice family community, excellent finishings and good value for money.
Far from New Dubai and the noise of aircraft as Mirdif is directly under the flight path for Dubai
