Richreit Tower is a reincarnation of the Hydra Towers project which was cancelled after running into financial trouble.

In 2011 construction work came to a halt and was not resumed until February 2015. By September 2015 the project was renamed ‘Richreit Towers’.

Although the foundations and podium levels had already been constructed in 2010, the tower was still able to undergo a (much needed) architectural redesign.

The building was previously named Mövenpick Hotel & Living but was changed to SAAS Business Bay in 2022 and was changed to residential use.
