Best area to live in Dubai
The Beach and restaurants
Motorbikes making too much noise late at nights. Apparently RTA is starting to fine them.
The size of the apartments are above average and what I love about JBR is that it has everything you need, its next to the newly built public beach, lots of restaurants, the famous "Walk" next to many 5 star hotels that also have bars and restaurants and you can more… even use the private hotel beaches provided you pay for it.

JBR Communicty
The beach
The traffic
The JBR community is perfectly located in Dubai Marina within walking distances to public transport. The community is very pedestrian friendly with direct access to the Beach Mall, the beach, Dubai Marina Mall, and numerous retail and food & beverage outlets. The community is very safe and clean, more… but slightly over developed, which is causing traffic congestion at rush hour and weekends. The RTA is continually working on a solution to relieve the congestion, and remains a work in progress with the introduction of the TRAM.
The finishes in the JBR apartments vary from landlord to landlord, as some have carried out interior renovations and refurbishments after purchase. The views are spectacular if you have a sea view, and very good if you have a marina view. Some apartments have concrete screens outside their windows, which do limit the view.
The facility services are standard, and not in par with leading developers in the region. They are working on improving the standards.
All in all, highly recommended if you would like a self sufficient community by the beach.

A living holiday....
Its like living in a holiday resort
Some sewerage problems...
Living in Rimal the past 2 years have been a dream... despite the obvious negatives. For the majority of my 2 years we were inconvenienced by the construction of the tram and as the Beach, which are two major developments. With the Beach finished a few months ago, it more… has added so much to the value of living in Rimal. Everything is on your doorstep, the Beach, lots of restaurants and plenty of other stuff to do. The tram will be finished this week, as I write this, and I feel this will also add so much value to the surrounding. Apart from much improved traffic flow, I can now take the tram to Barasti... AWESOME. They are also renovating the entire plaza level, which is a pain, but it should be finished in the first quarter of 2015. By then I would have moved, but I am jealous of the people who will enjoy these new features. One negative among the great benefits, has been the bad smells plaguing my building. This has been an on and off struggle with the management company. I do hope they resolve it quickly, but if you do consider a move there, make sure you get the assurances that all issues have been resolved.

JBR, sea view
View, ease of access to beach and beach mall shops restaurants
Traffic.. Finishing can be better for price.
I love the view, when you get a full sea view in JBR, they aren't kidding, FULL sea view from every window. Mornings look beautiful.. The major problem now is the traffic... But thats only got worse lately as they are constructing the tram and should be finished by November.. more… The finishing also isn't the greatest when compared to some buildings in the area.. But much better than most. A 3 bedroom here is very spacious with 2 parking spots. 2 minutes walk to the beach and to the restaurants, cinemas and mall of the beach and the JBR walk.

Living in JBR
Beach. Access to The Walk.
Poor finishing.
JBR rates are going up and I am dreading what my new contract value will be as of October. As much as I love living in JBR it has many flaws. To start with the finishing of the buildings and apartments are appalling. I always take Emaar more… buildings as a benchmark of quality and luxury. From the finishings, to the pools and gyms you can tell the difference to that of what we have in JBR - very poor. What saves JBR is the walk and it's proximity to the beach, NOTHING ELSE. The entrance whenever I have guests is through a trashy looking garage entrance, what is up with that?? And we have a plaza level that seems to have no commercial value to it hence making it useless to us.

My Life in JBR
The walk .
The traffic and the noise.
I have been living in JBR for almost 5 years now, and i have lived in 2 apartments. The first apartment was a 2 bedroom and 2 years later i moved to a 3 bedroom. The 3 Bedroom is a lot more spacious (depending on layout of the apartment) and more… i have an amazing view of the Marina and also have a glimpse of the beach from my Bedroom. But since the Tram system is being constructed most of the construction noise is loud but not too loud that i would consider moving. The variety of restaurants on the Walk is endless and exciting, and entertainment i always available.

JBR Community Living
The Plaza level, neighborhood walkable shops.
The traffic parking for guests.
Super place for families with children. We were lucky to purchase our own apartment, on the Plaza level, of the JBR community. It is a Duplex layout with its own back patio, which is a rare find in the Marina.
