Since the news that Dubai had won the right to host the World Expo in 2020 this previously stalled 23.5 million sq ft development has become hot property because of its proximity to the Expo site. Remraam - the name derives from a plant that grows naturally in the Emirates - is located in Dubailand, close to the Dubai Bypass Road and within easy reach of the new airport at Dubai South, and the Jebel Ali industrial area.
It is a popular community with two distinct neighbourhoods, Al Thamam and Al Ramth, housing 56 low-rise apartment buildings set amidst parkland and served by community facilities.
Remraam offers a mix of low and high-rise Moorish style buildings with a choice of studios and one- two- or three-bedroom apartments. The neighbourhood is friendly and quiet with parks and walking paths as well as shaded open spaces for children to play and spacious terraces. Communal swimming pools, lawns, barbecue areas and a mosque complete the picture.
From Remraam it takes roughly 28 minutes to drive to Dubai Mall, 23 minutes to Palm Jumeirah, 25 minutes to Burj Al Arab and 27 minutes to The Walk JBR.*
Dubai International Airport (DXB) is roughly 43 minutes' drive and the new Al Maktoum International Airport is roughly 21 minutes' drive.*
Remraam lies just off the Emirates Road between Jebel Ali Free Zone and Al Maktoum International Airport in the heart of Dubailand district. A new road to connect Remraam with Motor City is currently under construction.
Sheikh Zayed Road, the main spinal highway running through Dubai is easily accessible, and Dubai Marina is a 20 minute drive away while the Dubai Mall can be reached in 30 minutes.
There are two sub-communities in Remraam. Learn more in the following guides.
Remraam is close to Arabian Ranches and next door to the golf courses of Golf City. Its amenities include landscaped parks, underground parking, outdoor swimming pools, children’s nurseries, shaded play areas, and tennis and basketball courts. Not all the planned facilities have been delivered and there are only a few shops here, but plans are ‘currently progressing’ for a clubhouse with a gym and multi-purpose room for the community.
