- From La Residence At The Lotus it takes roughly 10 minutes to drive to Dubai Mall, 24 minutes to Palm Jumeirah, 22 minutes to Burj Al Arab and 27 minutes to The Walk JBR.
- Dubai International Airport (DXB) is roughly 17 minutes' drive and the new Al Maktoum International Airport is roughly 44 minutes' drive. All durations are calculated by Google Maps and assume the fastest route in typical traffic conditions.

Although the project failed it still managed to win 2 awards in 2007 for 'Best High Rise Development' at the CNBC Arabian Property Awards and 'Best International High Rise Development' at the International Property Awards.

The first two towers were completely sold out almost immediately after the 2007 launch but the project was immediately put on hold for 2 years when it became apparent that the developer, Damac Properties, didn't have full ownership of the land and therefore could not build on it.

Controversially the project was quietly cancelled by Damac in 2013 and replaced by the Paramout Towers development which is now under construction on the same plot. Many original investors were angered when they were asked to pay an additional fee to carry over their investment to the new project even though the design was similar and the location the same.
