Jumeirah Beach Hotel Complex
- Jumeirah Beach Hotel Complex is a multi-building complex in Umm Suqeim 3, Umm Suqeim, Jumeirah District, Dubai.
- The development comprises two individual buildings: Jumeirah Beach Conference Centre and Jumeirah Beach Hotel.
- The project was completed by 1997.
- The project was designed by WS Atkins & Partners.
- From Jumeirah Beach Hotel Complex it takes roughly 16 minutes to drive to Dubai Mall, 12 minutes to Palm Jumeirah, four minutes to Burj Al Arab and 18 minutes to The Walk JBR.
- Dubai International Airport (DXB) is roughly 25 minutes' drive and the new Al Maktoum International Airport is roughly 39 minutes' drive. All durations are calculated by Google Maps and assume the fastest route in typical traffic conditions.
-
This hotel was designed in the form of a giant wave to reflect Dubai’s seafaring heritage.
-
The hotel includes 19 Arabian styled beach villas, called Beit Al Bahar, designed by WS Atkins. They are situated directly in front of Burj Al Arab.
-
The interior design draws upon the four elements of nature - Water, Earth, Air and Fire.
-
As part of the hotel's 'natural flow' design, the lobby leads to a sweeping, two tier colonnade curving gracefully more than 120 metres along the beach side of the hotel.
-
The massive cooling plant required for the hotel is located at a site almost half a kilometre away so as not to intrude on the main building.
-
Right next to the hotel is Wild Wadi, Dubai's famous water park, which also offers stunning views of the Burj Al Arab.
