Innovation Hub is a new business park within the Dubai's Internet City Freezone. The project, which is being developed by the Tecom Group, consists of 11 low rise office buildings which encircle a landscaped pedestrian courtyard.
The Innovation Hub hopes to foster the growth of the region’s start-up and entrepreneurial landscape.
The Innovation Hub will provide an additional 1.6 million square feet of commercial space for Internet City with a capacity for 15,000 additional workers. The project is being developed as part of the government's bid to transform Dubai into an information-driven economy by stimulating creativity and encouraging small and medium businesses to flourish.
The Dubai government has recently pledged AED 4.5 billion to Tecom Investments new initiatives with the aim of doubling its company base from 4,500 to 10,000 and increasing the workforce from 70,000 to 100,000.
The investment will cover the construction of an additional 10 million sq. ft. of commercial office space and laboratories geared towards technology, new media, smart education and sciences. Workers will be able to enjoy a comprehensive programme of relevant events and activities which will run throughout the year.
Phase one of the Innovation Hub is due for completion in early 2017.
