Green Community

Green Community is a self-contained residential community in Dubai Investments Park (DIP), which is a mixed-use complex situated near the Jebel Ali industrial area at the intersection of the Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Road (E311) and the Jebel Ali - Al Habab Road (D57).

The Community is set in 67 hectares of natural greenery and comprises residential, leisure, retail, and commercial properties. It is far enough from the noise of the city but close enough to good roads, and offers a variety of apartments and villas.

Attractions

For the many Green Community residents who work in DIP, the main attraction is being able to live in this beautiful neighbourhood and not have to battle the traffic to get to work.

Green Community has its own community centre and leisure amenities, providing a choice of fitness clubs, lovely swimming pools, spas and sports facilities. Outside there are also tennis and squash courts, and an amphitheatre for outdoor concerts, plays and other events.

More than ten per cent of land in the Community has been set aside for conservation and greenery, so there are plenty of landscaped parks and waterways.

Shoppers have the choice of two shopping malls. The Market shopping centre in the Green Community has 86 retail units including a supermarket, coffee shops, restaurants, banks, gift shops, a book shop, a hair salon, a pharmacy, and a medical clinic.

In Ewan Residence, a neighbouring community in DIP, another mall, Souk Extra, has 18 shops including a Spinney’s supermarket, a pharmacy, a dry cleaner, and a bureau de change.

Green Community has its own hotel, The Courtyard by Marriott Dubai, and there are two others nearby; the Premier Inn and Armada Hotel.

Six more hotels in DIP are planned in order to cope with the expected rise in demand leading up to the 2020 Dubai Expo, the site for which is right next door on the other side of the Al Habab Road.

Travelling Around

Green Community can be easily accessed from both the Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Road (E311) and from Yalayis Street (D57).

The proximity of these highways means that travelling to other parts of Dubai is relatively easy. The journey time by road to Jebel Ali is 19 minutes, to Dubai Marina 23 minutes, to the Mall of the Emirates 25 minutes, to the Dubai Mall 28 minutes and to Dubai International Airport 34 minutes. Abu Dhabi is an hour and 10 minutes away.

Living Here

There is a variety of residential options ranging from villas and townhouses to apartments and studios in Green Community Villas, Lake Apartments, Terrace Apartments, Lakeside and Green Community West.

In total there are 1,555 townhouses, villas, bungalows, and apartments in Green Community. By mid-2017 another 226 units were added alongside the existing Green Community West, construction having started in July 2015.

There are five schools in Dubai Investments Park: Al Nibras Private School, Al Worood International Private Academy School, Greenfield Community School, The Children’s Garden kindergarten, and Dovecote Green Primary School.
