City Of Arabia is a multi-million dollar mixed-use district in the heart of DubaiLand.
The project was launched in 2005 by the Ilyas & Mustafa Galadari Group with a vast masterplan that included skyscrapers, a huge wadi district, a giant mall and a theme park.
The project was heavily affected by the global financial crisis in 2008 and that vast majority of the development has not been built. As of 2019, IMG Worlds of Adventure, GEMS Heritage School and an ENOC petrol station are the only completed buildings, with the landmark Wadi Tower nearing completion.
A few of the sub-components of the masterplan were started but have since been put on hold.
The master developer is Ilyas & Mustafa Galadari Group.
From City Of Arabia it takes roughly 24 minutes to drive to Dubai Mall, 27 minutes to Palm Jumeirah, 26 minutes to Burj Al Arab and 31 minutes to The Walk JBR.
Dubai International Airport (DXB) is roughly 32 minutes' drive and the new Al Maktoum International Airport is roughly 32 minutes' drive. All durations are calculated by Google Maps and assume the fastest route in typical traffic conditions.
