About Sadaf

  • When completed in 2010 JBR was the largest ever single-phased residential scheme.
  • The towers are grouped in six clusters, Shams, Amwaj, Rimal, Bahar, Sadaf and Murjan.
  • Together the towers house 6,917 apartments ranging from 900 sq ft (84 m2) studios to 5,500 sq ft (510 m2) penthouses.
  • As well as apartments the complex incorporates four hotels, shops restaurants and some commercial space.
  • The construction was extremely fast tracked, and achieved completion on schedule 40 months after works began.
  • More than 22,000 people from a number of different countries worked on the construction at its peak.
  • Extensive infrastructure works included a landmark bridge and a district cooling system.
  • The cooling system uses a network of underground pipes to deliver cool air and water to all the developmentā€™s buildings from a single, central source.
  • Dubai Properties was the developer and the project manager was Mace.
  • Sadaf is a complex within the JBR mixed-use development comprising 35 towers, each up to 46 storeys high, and covering an area of two million square metres along 1.7km of shoreline.

Situated between Dubai Marina and the sea JBR is claimed to be the biggest residential quarter in the world, with 35 towers able to house 15,000 people. As well as apartments the complex incorporates four hotels, shops restaurants and some commercial space.

The complex covers an area of two million square metres and runs the entire 1.7km length of The Walk, Dubai’s most popular beachside boulevard with its restaurants, cafes and smart shops. At podium level the apartments have their own walkways, gardens, shared pools, shops and convenience stores.

"The Amazing JBR"

Positives:   The community.

Negatives:   Traffic jams.

My apartment in JBR got a great marina view, quite spacious and provides all the needed facilities in such a great community. JBR is a great place to live in with everything around at The Walk and The Beach. With the newly launched Dubai Tram, it's getting even better with traffic jams getting eased up a bit as well ... Keep up the great work ...

"JBR I Love You But..."

Positives:   JBR Walk, JBR beach, The Beach Mall, JBR restaurants and 5 Star hotels.

Negatives:   Tram, Cars noise on JBR walk on weekend.

I have been living in JBR residence since 2009 and I am a loyal resident indeed. Of course I am loyal as I went through its all transformations, e.g. The Beach Mall construction - great tribute to JBR. Constant traffic and construction noise, seems it will never stops! And not to forget the "very useful" tram construction and nightmare due to traffic jams in summer 2014 especially, how many my and and my family nerves were destroyed, but was it worth it? I highly doubt, think about it, 80-90% of JBR residents drive a car and tourists are dropped there by buses. What for we need a tram there? Dubai please look at Deira and Bur Dubai, Khalidiya areas, Sharjah... These are the areas where people are desperate for more means of common transportation, common sense really! On a positive note, I still love JBR! All its restaurants, my favourite walk, its beach and now The Beach Mall. I wish something will be done for guests parking for JBR visitors, as it is always an issue. However I am still loyal resident of JBR, always been, I am and will be! Thank you Dubai for all your dynamic vision and rapid growth!

"Best Place"

Positives:   Beach is the best.

Negatives:   Distance.

Best place in dubai to live with children, we are enjoying the stay at JBR with small kids, round the clock security , super markets, excellent weather , very friendly neighbours , trasportation is very comfortable , and bunch of reaturents , all around greenary gardens ,toys for children, water around ....

"A Very Good Place To Leave"

I like so much Sadaf tower the views are amazing, you are near to many restaurants and cafes, you can go to the beach by walk just a few minutes and you are there. The security agents are working 24 hours and the building is always clean properly. There is many swimming pool, gym, pharmacy, supermarket... just under the building and the location is one of the best in Dubai just between Dubai Marina and JLT. Concerning the flat, its in a very good condition, the kitchen is a little bit small but very well equipped. The only inconvenience I think is the public transportation. For people who use metro, they have to walk around 20 minutes or take taxi and its very upsetting especially in summer.
