The Asmaran masterplan consists three components:
Asmaran Residential Community
Asmaran's core is a family-oriented residential community centered around a theme park with a wide range of attactions. The community was proposed to have over 19,000 villlas and townhouses for up to 55,000 people.
Asmaran Commercial Hub
The plan features three business hubs together providing four million square feet of commercial space and over three million square feet of retail space, all surrounded by lush green landscapes.
Asmaran Hospitality
Nine world-class hotels were planned for Asmaran with over 5,000 rooms and 5,300 serviced apartments.
The development was first announced in May 2008 as a joint venture between Emaar Properties and Bawadi LLC. Apart from a handfull of press releases in 2008 the project never began and was soon cancelled.
