Great Value For Money, wish it was a neater area
Value for money, Location
Beggars, Roaches, some bad neighbours
I love living here the value for money is excellent and its near by everything i need (provided you have a car or dont mind walking in the sand) regarding the area there aren't any pavements but who am I kidding, the weather is usually bad so we wouldn't go more… out walking anyways. I love the layout and size of this apartment, and it actually has a closed kitchen! I can't hear the neighbours (yippie!) but sometimes i can hear the construction outside (i'm a light sleeper but the construction noise only happens during the day so it rarely bothers you) The price for a one bedroom here is brilliant and is almost the cost of a studio anywhere else. The landlord and their agent are excellent and professional. The only problems are the cockroaches in the building (i regularly de-pest my apartment so my flat is ok) and bad neighbours aggravating the problem by throwing the trash on the floor of the trash room rather than down the shoot and every now and then beggars come up to the apartment which is extremely uncomfortable.Show less

A/C, pool out of service most of the time, no one will respond to complaints
We lived in this building for a year, at first we thought it had all the amenities one would want. Since moving in many things that we were told the building has don't work, like the pool which has been in a constant state of 'repair' for 9 months, with more… workers banging and making noise from 6am in the morning. Shortly after moving in the land lord decided that all AC in the building would be turned off permanently (to save electricity) which meant breaking into a sweat before going to work while waiting for the elevator and getting to the car. We complained on multiple occasions but to no avail - we asked that they just turn on the AC during the hot months in Dubai. We were told that we are the only people complaining - we later found out that many other tenants had raised the same complaint. We have subsequently opted to move out - most of our neighbors are as well. Feel sorry for the new tenants moving in that will learn the hard way. Show less

Al Warqaa review
Restricted access to pool and gym (10am-7pm)
For me, this flat is value for money, cos I'm paying it 40% less than its current market price, due to my long stay. 3 years a go, when I moved in, it was new, neighborhood was just developing and it was promising. During this 3 years, roads were built, more… but I believe neighborhood it self lost its charm. Building is well maintained, one owner, restricted access to pool and gym (10am-7pm). Over all solid 3 stars.Show less

The non-tourist part of Dubai
Everything is close by
Inconsiderate neighbors
Al Warqaa is nice and quiet. No nightclubs around so no excessive noise from those and its guests. There is the occasional person showing off their car exhaust, but nothing horrible. Some neighbors in the building have no common decency and let their children run and cry in the hallways more… til 3 in the morning, but one quick call to the real estate agent or security and it subsides. Other than the Aswaaq al warqaa supermarket in walking distance (even during summer) there are countless smaller supermarkets and some deliver. There are cafeterias, salons, paintshops, drycleaners, pharmacies, and even a clinic nearby. Schools are all around, and if you prefer the more costly schools in mizhar, the schoolbus only takes 30-45 minutes (including picking up all the other kids) There is a large park close by, this is mainly for exercising, but there are some smaller gardens for kids. It's 10 minutes from Mirdif City Center, and the bus stops virtually everywhere in Warqaa. No tourists, more conservative than the rest of Dubai, Safe, Child-Friendly, and no traffic! very close to Khail Road and Mhd. Bin Zayed road. Best undiscovered place in Dubai, I have lived here for 3 years with my son, and have no intention of leaving.Show less
