Great for family
Parking (if and when it is applied)
A great place to live. The view of the burnt Tamweel Tower building was an eye sour. Great choice of restaurants near by. Best part was the ease of delivery services to JLT in general. Every online grocery store and restaurant delivered to the house. The building was very well maintained more… and security was amazing. Being a completely glass building the windows (balcony door & windows that open) are not child friendly. Therefore you will need to do your own baby proofing. The overall layouts of the apartments and finishing are amazing. It really looks like someone with a sense of wanting to live there themselves designed it. The metro was a few steps away from the building. Parking permits until we moved were not in place (because of Tamweel Tower) so we were lucky that we could still park anywhere. We were never assigned a place in our building so taking groceries up was a task at times as we would park in the public parking and unless you had a spot on the podium level you would park a little far away from the building. In buildings where parking permits were enforced it was very difficult and expensive to find an additional parking. On average a family usually owns 2 cars and I believe they take full advantage of this as you have to pay a pretty high premium per year to park an additional car. Some parkings are also for sale.Show less

The modes of transport & view
Nothing
My apartment is a studio and it has an amazing view and besides its the most convenient place for me as its so close to convenience stores, parlours - the JLT community is always helpful in ways, the ambience , surroundings and its a hop skip jump for me from more… my work place even. I love the place I am in - couldnt ask for a better place.Show less

Great place for family living in JLT!
Great apartment in a convenient location
I only miss having a proper terrace instead of a huge balcony
We've been living in Dubai for over 5 years and most of it has been in these apartments. Although we had moved a couple of times, somehow we always end up coming back here. Why? It's the perfect mix for us: *The apartment: -the space living is huge and very adequate for more… our small family (2,044 sq ft apartment), with a great layout where you can use every inch, no wasted corridors. -the kitchen in particular, which is where we spend a good amount of the day, is huge. There is no need on a day to day to use the formal dining room at all. We eat, do homework, enjoy coffee with friends, etc... in the kitchen -the services in the building are great: there is always someone available to give you a hand when you come with your car full of groceries, and when you need to install lamps, or hang pictures on the wall, .... I also find the maintenance of the building itself in good shape per Dubai standars -the crowd in the building is mixed and you can find westerns and arab families alike, so it's a good mix and pretty peaceful and quiet. -I particularly enjoy the convenience of having a small grocery shop right downstairs of the building, for those "I forgot to buy in Carrefour" moments, or when you need milk in the middle of the night. And then, there is also a Spinneys a couple of buildings away and an organic store in the building next door... *The location: -we are very good communicated and have direct access to either SZR on the front and First Al Khail on the back, which gives us plenty of flexibility -this is a very quiet area with no noises on the street, ideal for family with kids that need to get a good sleep at night -we've seen plenty of eatery places (from fast food to more refined restaurants) opening in the last years. And then of course, medical centers, pharmacies, beauty salons, etc. Everything within 5 minutes walking. -if we ever feel like going to more happening places like Marina, all we need to do is cross the bridge of the Marina Metro (which is just some meters from our apartment) and we are there, no need to get the car. -Kids have all the walk on the ground level to go skating, biking, running, etc. The new park that they built in one of the lakes, although a bit far walking (I wouldn't go in summer anyways) is a great addition for winter days. There are plenty of smaller play areas all around the community as well -Nurserys are all over, almost one in every cluster.... and, if that wasn't enough, they are building one just in front of our building! -There are very good schools just 10 minutes by car from us (DIA, Regent, ...). -Traffic around JLT is now a breeze after the construction on the back side finished around Dec-2013. Before that it was a real headache, but I cannot believe my eyes on how much it has improved. Even in rush hour you barely see any congestion... till you get to SZR, that is.... Show less
